Duryodhana’s Anxiety, Bhīṣma’s Reassurance, and Renewed Mobilization (दुर्योधनचिन्ता–भीष्मप्रत्याश्वासन–सेनानिर्गमनम्)

Sañjaya said: Then King Virāṭa, himself a great chariot-warrior, struck the mighty Bhīṣma with three arrows, causing him pain; and with three more arrows he also wounded Bhīṣma’s horses. The scene underscores the relentless reciprocity of battle—where even venerable elders like Bhīṣma are met with force—while reminding the listener that prowess in war does not by itself settle the deeper question of dharma that frames the Kurukṣetra conflict.
