Chapter 7: Dvīpa–Varṣa–Meru-varṇana

Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru

एकैकमनुरक्तं च चक्रवाकसमं विभो । निरामयाश्च ते लोका नित्यं मुदितमानसा:,प्रभो! वे चकवा-चकवीके समान सदा एक-दूसरेके अनुकूल बने रहते हैं। उत्तरकुरुके लोग सदा नीरोग और प्रसन्नचित्त रहते हैं

ekaikam anuraktaṃ ca cakravākasamaṃ vibho | nirāmayāś ca te lokā nityaṃ muditamānasāḥ prabho ||

Sañjaya said: “O mighty lord, there each person is devoted to the other, like a pair of cakravāka birds—ever mutually attached. And those people are free from disease, always cheerful at heart, O master.”
