दृष्टवा रथान्‌ स्वान्‌ व्यपनीयमानान्‌ प्रत्युद्ययौ सात्यकिं योद्धुमिच्छन्‌,राजन्‌! उस समय वहाँ सोमदत्तपुत्र भूरिश्रवाको छोड़कर दूसरा कोई ऐसा योद्धा नहीं था, जो विषाद-ग्रस्त न हुआ हो। भारत! सोमदत्तकुमार महामना भूरिश्रवाने अपने रथियोंको विवश होकर भागते देख धनुष ले युद्ध करनेकी इच्छासे सात्यकिपर चढ़ाई की

Transliteration

dṛṣṭvā rathān svān vyapanīyamānān pratyudyayau sātyakiṃ yoddhum icchan | rājann! tadā tatra somadattaputraṃ bhūriśravāṃ vihāya nānyo yodhā viṣāda-grasto 'bhavat | bhārata! somadattakumāro mahāmanā bhūriśravā rathīn svān vivaśān palāyamānān dṛṣṭvā dhanuḥ gṛhītvā yuddhecchayā sātyakim abhyāruroha ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Seeing his own chariots being driven back, Bhūriśravas, son of Somadatta, rose up to meet Sātyaki, eager to fight. O King, at that moment there was no warrior there—apart from Bhūriśravas—who was not seized by dejection. O Bhārata, the high-minded Bhūriśravas, seeing his chariot-warriors forced into flight, took up his bow and advanced against Sātyaki with the resolve to engage in battle.
