भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६६: तुमुलसंग्रामवर्णनम्
The Tumult of Battle Described
ऊरुवेगेन संकर्षन् रथजालानि पाण्डव:
ūruvegena saṅkarṣan rathajālāni pāṇḍavaḥ
Sañjaya said: With the force of his thighs, the Pāṇḍava dragged and tore through the interlaced formations of chariots. The line underscores the sheer bodily prowess brought to bear in war, where strength and resolve become decisive amid the moral weight of fratricidal conflict.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how, in the chaos of war, extraordinary physical power and determination can break even tightly organized military formations—yet it also implicitly reminds the listener that such prowess operates within a grave ethical landscape of kin-slaying and duty-bound conflict.
Sañjaya describes a Pāṇḍava warrior forcing his way through a dense chariot-array, dragging and disrupting the ‘net’ of chariots by sheer bodily force, signaling an intense moment of battlefield breakthrough.
