किरीटी च ययीौ क्रुद्ध: समन्तात्‌ पार्थिवोत्तमान्‌ | आर्जुनि: सात्यकिश्वैव ययतु: सौबलं बलम्‌,क्रोधमें भरे हुए किरीटधारी अर्जुन सब ओर खड़े हुए श्रेष्ठ राजाओंका सामना करनेके लिये चले। अभिमन्यु और सात्यकिने शकुनिकी सेनापर आक्रमण किया

sañjaya uvāca | kirīṭī ca yayau kruddhaḥ samantāt pārthivottamān | ārjuniḥ sātyakiś caiva yayatuḥ saubalaṃ balam |

Sañjaya said: The diadem-crowned Arjuna, inflamed with wrath, advanced on every side against the foremost of kings. And Abhimanyu, together with Sātyaki, moved to assail the forces of Saubala (Śakuni).
