सध्वज: सह सूतेन साश्व: सयुगबन्धुर: । भीष्मको मार डालनेके लिये चलायी हुई उस गदाके आघातसे ध्वज, सारथि, घोड़े, जूआ और धुरा आदिके साथ वह सारा रथ चूर-चूर हो गया

Transliteration

sadhvajaḥ saha sūtena sāśvaḥ sayugabandhuraḥ | bhīṣmako māra ḍālneke liye calāyī huī us gadāke āghātase dhvaja-sārathi-ghoṛe-jūā-dhurā-ādike sātha vaha sārā ratha cūr-cūr ho gayā |

Translation

Sanjaya said: Struck by that mace-blow hurled with the intent to kill Bhishma, the entire chariot was shattered to pieces—together with its banner, charioteer, horses, yoke, pole, and all its fittings.
