गौरुडव्यूह-रचना तथा अर्धचन्द्र-प्रत्यव्यूह

Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation

ततो दुःशासनो राजन श्वैतं दृष्टया निपातितम्‌

tato duḥśāsano rājan śvaitaṃ dṛṣṭayā nipātitam

Sañjaya said: “Then, O King, Duḥśāsana saw Śvaita struck down and fallen.” It conveys the grim momentum of the field: a comrade’s fall hardens resolve even as it deepens the moral weight of continuing violence.
