प्रह्दष्टा श्र सुतास्तुभ्यं कुरवश्चापि सर्वश: । महारथी पाण्डव तथा उस दलके दूसरे क्षत्रिय श्वेतके लिये शोकमें डूब गये। इधर आपके पुत्र समस्त कौरव हर्षसे उललसित हो उठे
sañjaya uvāca | prahṛṣṭāḥ sma sutās tubhyaṃ kuravaś cāpi sarvaśaḥ | mahārathī pāṇḍavāḥ tathā tasya dalasya dvitīyāḥ kṣatriyāḥ śvetasya śokam āpannāḥ | idhara tava putrāḥ samastāḥ kauravā harṣeṇollasitā babhūvuḥ |
Sanjaya said: Your sons and all the Kurus on every side were filled with joy. But the Pandava great chariot-warriors, along with the other kshatriyas of that host, were plunged into grief for Shveta. On the other side, your sons—the Kauravas as a whole—rose up exultant with triumph.
