Nirmaryāda-saṃgrāma-varṇana — The Unbounded Clash and Bhīṣma’s Rallying Presence
आसुरीं योनिमापन्ना मूढा जन्मनि जन्मनि । मामप्राप्यैव कौन्तेय ततो यान्त्यधमां गतिम्,हे अर्जुन! वे मूढ़ मुझको न प्राप्त होकर जन्म-जन्ममें आसुरी योनिको प्राप्त होते हैं, फिर उससे भी अति नीच गतिको ही प्राप्त होते हैं अर्थात् घोर नरकोंमें पड़ते हैं
āsurīṁ yonim āpannā mūḍhā janmani janmani | mām aprāpyaiva kaunteya tato yānty adhamāṁ gatim ||
Those deluded beings, having fallen into demonic wombs birth after birth, fail to reach Me; and then, O son of Kuntī, they descend to an even lower state of existence—into grievous hellish destinies. The ethical point is that persistent ignorance and willful rejection of the divine good harden into a downward moral trajectory, shaping one’s rebirth and suffering.
