The Blessed Lord declares that those who are hateful, cruel, and morally degraded—people who persist in harmful conduct—are repeatedly cast down within the cycle of worldly existence into demonic wombs. The ethical force of the statement is a warning: sustained malice and cruelty shape one’s destiny, leading not to upliftment but to further degeneration and suffering.

Educational Q&A

Persistent hatred and cruelty are not merely personal flaws; they become karmic causes that drive repeated downfall in saṃsāra. The verse urges the listener to cultivate a rejecting attitude toward such vices and to choose conduct aligned with dharma.

In the midst of instruction, the Lord describes the fate of those dominated by malicious, cruel, and unrighteous tendencies. This functions as a moral warning following a description of corrupt traits, emphasizing that such dispositions lead to repeated demonic rebirths rather than spiritual progress.
