Devotion to the Personal vs. Contemplation of the Imperishable
सम्बन्ध-- उपर्युक्त प्रकारसे भजन करनेवाले भक्तोंके प्रति भगवान् क्या करते हैं; अगले दी शलोकोंमें यह बतलाते हैं-- तेषां सततयुक्तानां भजतां प्रीतिपूर्वकम् । ददामि बुद्धियोगं तं येन मामुपयान्ति ते
teṣāṁ satata-yuktānāṁ bhajatāṁ prīti-pūrvakam | dadāmi buddhi-yogaṁ taṁ yena mām upayānti te ||
To those who remain ever united with Me—who worship Me with heartfelt love—I grant that discipline of understanding (buddhi-yoga) by which they come to Me alone. In the ethical frame of the Gītā, divine grace is not arbitrary favor but a response to steady devotion, guiding the devotee’s intellect toward right discernment and final refuge in the Supreme.
अजुन उवाच
Steady, loving devotion draws divine guidance: Kṛṣṇa grants buddhi-yoga—clarity and disciplined discernment—so the devotee can progress toward Him as the highest goal.
In the Gītā’s instruction to Arjuna, Kṛṣṇa explains how He supports sincere devotees: those constantly engaged in worship receive inner direction (buddhi-yoga) that leads them to attain Him.
