Renunciation and the Discipline of Action
ये मे मतमिदं नित्यमनुतिष्ठन्ति मानवा: । श्रद्धावन्तो5नसूयन्तो मुच्यन्ते तेडपि कर्मभि:
ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ | śraddhāvanto 'nasūyanto mucyante te 'pi karmabhiḥ ||
Those people who, free from fault-finding and endowed with faith, consistently live in accordance with this teaching of mine—even they are released from the binding consequences of actions.
अजुन उवाच
If one steadily practices the Lord’s teaching with faith and without fault-finding (anasūyā), one becomes free from the binding effects of karma—action remains, but bondage to its results is dissolved.
In the battlefield dialogue, Arjuna is receiving instruction on disciplined action. This verse states the fruit of sincerely following that instruction: even ordinary people who practice it faithfully and without cynical criticism are liberated from karmic bondage.
