उभे सेने बृहत्यौ भीमरूपे तथैवोभे भारत दुर्विषहो । तथैवोभे स्वर्गजयाय सूष्टे तथैवोभे सत्पुरुषोपजुष्टे,भारत! दोनों ओरकी सेनाएँ विशाल, भयंकर और दुःसह थीं, मानो विधाताने दोनों सेनाओंको स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिके लिये ही रचा था। दोनोंमें ही सत्पुरुष भरे हुए थे

Translation

Sañjaya said: O Bhārata, both armies were vast, fearsome, and hard to withstand—as though the Ordainer had fashioned them for the conquest of heaven. And in both were many noble and righteous men.
