Sañjaya said: Well-protected by the great chariot-warriors of the Vṛṣṇis and Bhojas, and by the well-trained Saurāṣṭra fighters bearing weapons, that vast force—guarded by Kṛtavarman—was advancing to battle along the right flank of your army.

The verse highlights the intentional organization and safeguarding of forces in war: outcomes are shaped not only by valor but by disciplined preparation, protection, and leadership—an ethical reminder that large-scale violence is never merely impulsive, but planned and enabled by structures of command.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that a large contingent—protected by Vṛṣṇi and Bhoja mahārathas and armed Saurāṣṭran warriors, with Kṛtavarman as its protector—moves forward along the right side of the Kaurava army to engage in battle.
