भीष्म-पर्व अध्याय १०० — त्रिगर्त-आक्रमण, भीष्म-केन्द्रित पुनर्संयोजन, तथा शक्त्यस्त्र-विनिमय

(एवमुक्तस्तु राधेयो दुर्योधनमरिंदमम्‌ ।) तमब्रवीन्महाराजं सूतपुत्रो नराधिपम्‌ | यह सुनकर सूत्रपुत्र कर्णने शत्रुदमन नरनाथ महाराज दुर्योधनसे इस प्रकार कहा ।। ६ -॥] कर्ण उवाच मा शोच भरतश्रेष्ठ करिष्ये5हं प्रियं तव

evam uktas tu rādheyo duryodhanam arindamam | tam abravīn mahārājaṃ sūtaputro narādhipam || karṇa uvāca | mā śoca bharataśreṣṭha kariṣye 'haṃ priyaṃ tava ||

Thus addressed, Radheya (Karna) spoke to King Duryodhana, the subduer of foes. The charioteer’s son said to the lord of men: “Do not grieve, best of the Bharatas. I shall do what is dear to you.”
