भीष्म-पर्व अध्याय १०० — त्रिगर्त-आक्रमण, भीष्म-केन्द्रित पुनर्संयोजन, तथा शक्त्यस्त्र-विनिमय

ततस्तं नृपशार्दूलं शार्टूल्समविक्रमम्‌ । आरोहयद्धयं तूर्ण भ्राता दःशासनस्तदा,उस समय भाई दुःशासनने अपने ज्येष्ठ भ्राता सिंहके समान पराक्रमी नृपश्रेष्ठ दुर्योधनको घोड़ेपर चढ़ाया

tatastam nṛpaśārdūlaṃ śārdūlasamavikramaṃ | ārohayad hayaṃ tūrṇaṃ bhrātā duḥśāsanas tadā ||

Then Duḥśāsana, his brother, swiftly mounted that tiger among kings—Duryodhana—whose valor matched a tiger’s, upon a horse.
