Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)

मरुत्त उवाच कच्चिच्छीमान्‌ देवराज: सुखी च कच्चिच्चास्मान्‌ प्रीयते धूमकेतो । कच्चिद्दवेवा अस्य वशे यथावत्‌ प्रब्रृहि त्वं मम कार्त्स्न्येन देव,मरुत्तने कहा--अग्निदेव! श्रीमान्‌ देवराज सुखी तो हैं न? धूमकेतो! वे हमलोगोंपर प्रसन्न हैं न? सम्पूर्ण देवता उनकी आज्ञाके अधीन रहते हैं न? देव! ये सारी बातें आप मुझे ठीक-ठीक बताइये

Marutta uvāca: kaccic chrīmān devarājaḥ sukhī ca kaccic cāsmān prīyate dhūmaketo | kaccid devā asya vaśe yathāvat prabrūhi tvaṁ mama kārtsnyena deva ||

Marutta said: “Is the glorious king of the gods truly well and happy? O Dhūmaketu, is he pleased with us? And do all the gods duly remain under his command? O divine one, tell me all this completely and exactly.”
