Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse

उपयोक्तुं तदिच्छामि वाजिमेथे महाक्रतौ । “भगवन्‌! आपकी कृपासे जो वह रत्न लाया गया है, उसका अश्वमेध नामक महायज्ञमें मैं उपयोग करना चाहता हूँ

upayoktuṃ tad icchāmi vājimethe mahākratau |

Vaiśampāyana said: “With your permission, I wish to employ that precious item in the great sacrificial rite—the Aśvamedha—so that what has been obtained through your grace may be dedicated to a dharmic purpose.”
