युधिष्ठिरो धर्मसुतो व्यासं वचनमत्रवीत्‌ | फिर वृष्णि एवं अन्धकवंशी वीरोंके साथ वे उनकी सेवामें बैठ गये। वहाँ नाना प्रकारकी बातें करके धर्मपुत्र युधिष्ठिरने व्यासजीसे इस प्रकार कहा--

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhiro dharmasuto vyāsaṃ vacanam atravīt |

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “Yudhiṣṭhira, the son of Dharma, addressed Sage Vyāsa with words. Then, together with the heroic Vṛṣṇis and the Andhaka lineage, he sat in attendance upon him. After conversing on many matters, Dharmaputra Yudhiṣṭhira spoke to Vyāsa in this manner—setting the stage for counsel grounded in dharma and right conduct.”
