tvam ājahartha devānām eko vīraśriyaṁ parām | tvaṁ bibharṣi bhuvaṁ dyāṁ ca sadaiva balasūdana ||
Vyāsa said: “You alone have won for the gods the highest splendor of heroism. O Balasūdana, you continually uphold and protect both the earth and the heavens.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse frames ideal power as dharmic guardianship: true heroism is not mere conquest but sustaining order—protecting the world (earth) and the higher moral-cosmic realm (heaven).
Vyāsa addresses a celebrated hero with an honorific epithet, praising him as uniquely responsible for securing divine welfare and for continually upholding and safeguarding both earthly and heavenly domains.
