दीक्षितानां तथा यज्ञो दैवानां मघवा तथा । दिशामुदीची विप्राणां सोमो राजा प्रतापवान्,दीक्षा ग्रहण करनेवालोंके यज्ञ और देवताओंके इन्द्र अधिपति हैं। दिशाओंकी स्वामिनी उत्तर दिशा है एवं ब्राह्मणोंके राजा प्रतापी सोम हैं
Transliteration
dīkṣitānāṃ tathā yajño daivānāṃ maghavā tathā | diśām udīcī viprāṇāṃ somo rājā pratāpavān ||
Translation
Vāyu said: “Among those who have undertaken consecration, the presiding lord is the Sacrifice itself; among the gods, Maghavā (Indra) is the lord. Among the directions, the northern quarter holds sovereignty; and among the Brahmins, the mighty King Soma is regarded as chief.”
