Brāhmaṇī–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda
ततः: संजायते रूप॑ ततः स्पर्शोडभिजायते । ततः संजायते शब्द: संशयस्तत्र जायते । ततः: संजायते निष्ठा जन्मैतत् सप्तथा विदु:,“वहींसे रूप, स्पर्श और शब्दका प्राकट्य होता है। संशयका जन्म भी वहीं होता है और निश्चयात्मिका बुद्धि भी वहीं पैदा होती है। यह सात प्रकारका जन्म माना गया है
tataḥ saṃjāyate rūpaṃ tataḥ sparśo ’bhijāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate śabdaḥ saṃśayas tatra jāyate | tataḥ saṃjāyate niṣṭhā janmaitat saptathā viduḥ ||
“From that source, form comes into being; from it, touch is born. From it, sound arises; and there too doubt is generated. From it also arises steadfast certainty (the determinative intellect). This is understood as a sevenfold mode of origination.”
