Vāyu said: “O son of Kuntī, the heavenly world is filled with those who are rich in sacred action and disciplined performance of duty. The gods do not desire that a mortal’s human condition be cast off (prematurely); for the divine order is upheld when humans remain within their appointed sphere and pursue merit through rightful deeds.”

Heaven is attained and sustained by those who actively perform dharma—rituals, duties, and disciplined action. The gods prefer that humans remain in the mortal sphere and pursue merit through rightful conduct rather than seeking an untimely escape from human embodiment.
Vāyudeva addresses Arjuna (Kaunteya), explaining the divine perspective: the celestial realm is populated by those who have earned it through action, and the gods do not approve of the premature ending of mortal life or the abandonment of the human condition.
