नसराज्ञां वधे सूनु: कारणं ते महात्मनाम्‌

Transliteration

na sa rājñāṁ vadhe sūnuḥ kāraṇaṁ te mahātmanām

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “That son was not the cause of the slaying of kings; rather, the responsibility lay with those great-souled men themselves.”
