Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira

anumānya mahārājaṃ tat sadaḥ samprasādya ca | vipraḥ pragalbho medhāvī sa rājānam uvāca ha ||

Vaiśampāyana said: Having duly honored the great king and gladdened that entire assembly, a bold and discerning brāhmaṇa then addressed the ruler. The scene underscores the ethical decorum of counsel: respect for authority, goodwill toward the gathered elders, and fearless speech grounded in learning.
