नारद उवाच चिरदृष्टोडसि मेत्येवमागतो5हं तपोवनात्‌ । परिदृष्टानि तीर्थानि गड़ा चैव मया नूप,नारदजीने कहा--नरेश्वर! बहुत दिन पहले मैंने तुम्हें देखा था, इसीलिये मैं तपोवनसे सीधे यहाँ चला आ रहा हूँ। रास्तेमें मैंने बहुत-से तीर्थों और गड़ाजीका भी दर्शन किया है

nārada uvāca

ciradṛṣṭo'si mety evam āgato'haṃ tapovanāt | paridṛṣṭāni tīrthāni gadā caiva mayā nṛpa ||

Narada said: “It has been a long time since I last saw you; remembering this, I have come here straight from the forest of austerities. On the way, O king, I have visited many sacred fords, and I have also seen the mace.”
