नारदेन धृतराष्ट्रगतिवर्णनम् | Nārada’s Account of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Future Course
त्वां चापि श्रेयसा योक्ष्ये न चिराद् भरतर्षभ । संशयच्छेदनार्थाय प्राप्तं मां विद्धि पुत्रक
tvāṁ cāpi śreyasā yokṣye na cirād bharatarṣabha | saṁśaya-cchedanārthāya prāptaṁ māṁ viddhi putraka ||
“O bull among the Bharatas, I shall soon unite you too with what is truly auspicious. My child, know that I have come here for the very purpose of cutting through your doubts.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A qualified guide promises śreyas (the higher good) and frames instruction as saṁśaya-cchedana—removing doubt—implying that clarity and right understanding are prerequisites for ethical and spiritual progress.
Vaiśampāyana addresses a Bharata prince respectfully and affectionately, stating that he has come specifically to resolve the listener’s uncertainties and to lead him soon toward what is auspicious and beneficial.
