एवमेते महात्मानो भोगैर्बहुविधैरपि । क्षुधा परमया युक्ताश्छन्द्यमाना महात्मभि:,इस प्रकार उन महात्माओंने अत्यन्त भूखे होनेपर और बड़े-बड़े लोगोंके अनेक प्रकारके भोगोंद्वारा लालच देनेपर भी उस समय लोभ नहीं किया। इसीसे उन्हें स्वर्गलोककी प्राप्ति हुई

Translation

Thus those great-souled ones, though pressed by extreme hunger and though tempted with many kinds of enjoyments by eminent men, did not yield to greed at that time. Therefore they attained the world of heaven.
