Merits of Cow-Gift and the Origin-Account of Kapilā Cows
शरीरन्यासमोक्षेण मनसा निर्मलेन च । स्वप्नभूतांश्व ताललोकान् पश्यन्तीहापि सुव्रता:,श्रेष्ठ च्रतके आचरणमें लगे हुए योगी पुरुष समाधि-अवस्थामें अथवा मृत्युके समय जब शरीरसे सम्बन्ध त्याग देते हैं, तब अपने शुद्ध चित्तके द्वारा स्वप्रकी भाँति दीखनेवाले उन लोकोंका यहाँसे भी दर्शन करते हैं
śarīra-nyāsa-mokṣeṇa manasā nirmalena ca | svapna-bhūtāṁś ca tāl lokān paśyantīhāpi suvratāḥ ||
Bhīṣma said: By the release that comes through laying aside the body, and by a purified mind, the disciplined and virtuous practitioners behold—even while still here—the worlds that appear like a dream.
पितामह उवाच
A yogin with a purified mind can perceive higher realms even while living; at the time of death, relinquishing bodily identification becomes a lucid release rather than a bewildering end.
Bhīṣma (Pitāmaha), instructing on dharma and spiritual discipline, explains the experiential insight of disciplined practitioners: through purity of mind and the act of laying aside the body, they behold subtle worlds that seem dream-like.
