Educational Q&A

Restoring a deposed king to his rightful position is presented as a high dharmic act because it re-establishes legitimate governance and stability; such service to order and justice yields heavenly merit and honor.

Bhishma, instructing on dharma, addresses Indra and states the फल (result) of a specific righteous deed: reinstating a king who has been expelled from his kingdom leads to residence and esteem in heaven.
