भूयान् स्यात् क्षत्रियापुत्रो वैश्यापुत्रान्न संशय: । भूयस्तेनापि हर्तव्यं पितृवित्ताद् युधिष्ठिर,इन सब दृष्टियोंसे क्षत्रियाका पुत्र वैश्याके पुत्रसे श्रेष्ठ होता है--इसमें संशय नहीं है। युधिष्ठिर! इसलिये शेष पैतृक धनमेंसे उसको भी विशेष भाग लेना ही चाहिये
Transliteration
bhūyān syāt kṣatriyāputro vaiśyāputrān na saṁśayaḥ | bhūyas tenāpi hartavyaṁ pitṛvittād yudhiṣṭhira ||
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “A Kṣatriya’s son is indeed superior to a Vaiśya’s son—of this there is no doubt. Therefore, O Yudhiṣṭhira, he too should receive a larger share from the remaining ancestral wealth.”
