नानिष्टाय प्रदातव्या कन्या इत्यूषिचोदितम् | तन्मूलं काममूलस्य प्रजनस्येति मे मति:,महर्षियोंका मत है कि अयोग्य वरको कन्या नहीं देनी चाहिये; क्योंकि सुयोग्य पुरुषको कन्यादान करना ही काम-सम्बन्धी सुख और सुयोग्य संतानकी उत्पत्तिका कारण है। ऐसा मेरा विचार है
Translation
In the view of the great ṛṣis, a maiden should not be given to an unworthy suitor; for giving her to a worthy man alone is, in my judgment, the cause of happiness in kāma and the source of good offspring.
