Bhishma said: When the teacher had rested and was seated together with his wife, Vipula then reported to him in full the deed—Indra’s entire stratagem. The episode underscores vigilant guardianship of dharma: temptation and deception may arise even from the powerful, and the righteous must disclose wrongdoing plainly so that moral order is restored through informed judgment.

Dharma is safeguarded by vigilance, self-restraint, and truthful disclosure: when wrongdoing or temptation occurs—even from a mighty figure like Indra—it should be reported clearly so that the household and moral order are protected.
After the guru has rested and sits with his wife, Vipula approaches and narrates to him the full account of Indra’s actions—i.e., the attempted deception/stratagem—so the teacher understands what occurred.
