Educational Q&A

As a concluding colophon, the verse chiefly marks completion, but it also frames the chapter’s ethical emphasis: within the dharma of giving, honoring the Brāhmaṇa symbolizes respect for learning, self-control, and the custodianship of sacred and moral knowledge.

The text is closing a chapter: it announces that the thirty-third chapter titled “Praise of the Brāhmaṇa,” situated within the Dāna-dharma portion of the Anuśāsana Parva, has ended.
