भीष्मस्तेषां कथा: श्रुत्वा ऋषीणां भावितात्मनाम्‌

Transliteration

bhīṣmas teṣāṁ kathāḥ śrutvā ṛṣīṇāṁ bhāvitātmanām

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Having heard the accounts related by those sages—men of disciplined and purified minds—Bhīṣma reflected upon them, taking their words as weighty guidance for righteous conduct.
