घृतात्‌ सारं यथा मण्डस्तथैतत्‌ सारमुद्धृतम्‌ । जैसे पर्वतका सार सुवर्ण, फ़ूलका सार मधु और घीका सार मण्ड है, उसी प्रकार यह दस हजार नामोंका सार उद्धृत किया गया है

ghṛtāt sāraṃ yathā maṇḍas tathaitat sāram uddhṛtam |

Vāyu-deva said: “Just as the essence drawn from ghee is its finest cream, so too has the essence been extracted here—this is the distilled core.” In ethical intent, the verse praises a teaching condensed to its most potent meaning, urging the listener to value concentrated wisdom over mere bulk of words.
