एवं दग्धा भगवता दानवा: स्वेन तेजेसा । अगस्त्येन तदा राज॑ंस्तपसा भावितात्मना,'“राजन्‌! इस प्रकार शुद्ध अन्तःकरणवाले भगवान्‌ अगस्त्यने अपने तप और तेजसे दानवोंको दग्ध कर दिया था

Transliteration

evaṁ dagdhā bhagavatā dānavāḥ svena tejasā | agastyena tadā rājan tapasā bhāvitātmanā ||

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “O King, in this manner the Dānavas were burned up by the blessed sage Agastya—his inner self purified and strengthened by austerity—through the power of his own spiritual radiance.”
