Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma (प्रत्यक्ष–आगम–आचारविचारः)

तेषामपि विधिं पुण्यं श्रोतुमिच्छामि शड्कर । वानप्रस्थेषु देवेश स्वशरीरोपजीविषु,कल्याणकारी देवेश्वर! वानप्रस्थी महात्मा अपने शरीरको ही कष्ट पहुँचाकर जीवन- निर्वाह करते हैं; अतः उनके पालन करनेयोग्य जो पवित्र कर्तव्य या नियम है, उसीको मैं सुनना चाहती हूँ

O Śaṅkara, I wish to hear as well the sacred, meritorious rule that governs those vānaprasthas. O Lord of the gods, those great-souled forest-dwellers sustain their lives by enduring hardship upon their own bodies; therefore I desire to learn the pure duties and observances they are to follow.
