Adhyāya 142: Cyavana, the Devas’ Arrogance, and Vāyu’s Counsel on Protecting Brāhmaṇas

दिव्यं शतशलाकं च यज्ञार्थ काउचनं शुभम्‌ | छत्र॑ देवावृधो दत्त्वा ब्राह्मणायास्थितो दिवम्‌,देवावृध नामक राजा यज्ञमें सोनेकी सौ तीलियोंवाले सुन्दर दिव्य छत्रका ब्राह्मणको दान करके स्वर्ग-लोकको प्राप्त हुए हैं

divyaṁ śataśalākaṁ ca yajñārthaṁ kāñcanaṁ śubham | chatraṁ devāvṛdho dattvā brāhmaṇāyāsthito divam ||

Bhīṣma said: King Devāvṛdha, having given to a brāhmaṇa a splendid, golden, divine parasol fitted with a hundred ribs for sacrificial use, attained heaven.
