मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

Bhīṣma said: “In that higher realm, the observant man who maintains his vow is said to dwell for vast measures of time—two ‘Śaṅkha’ and two ‘Patākā’ periods, a Yugānta, a Kalpa, an Ayutāyuta, a Padma, and even a ‘Samudra’—thus indicating an extraordinarily long residence in Brahmaloka as the fruit of disciplined, vow-based dharma.”
