Bhishma said: Sustained by the finest nectar-like essence, akin to amṛta, he dwells in splendor. Seated upon a divine, excellent, and enchanting celestial chariot, he shines forth, residing for a thousand kalpas in a palace filled with hundreds of beautiful maidens. There he lives by drinking that supreme sudhā-rasa, the gods’ own sustenance, comparable to amṛta—showing how merit ripens into refined and enduring heavenly enjoyment.
