Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity

परदारा न गन्तव्या सर्ववर्णेषु कहिचित्,किसी भी वर्णके पुरुषको कभी भी परायी स्त्रियोंसे संसर्ग नहीं करना चाहिये। परस्त्री- सेवनसे मनुष्यकी आयु जल्दी ही समाप्त हो जाती है। संसारमें परस्त्री-समागमके समान पुरुषकी आयुको नष्ट करनेवाला दूसरा कोई कार्य नहीं है
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “A man of any varṇa should never go to another’s wife. Consorting with another man’s woman swiftly brings one’s lifespan to an end; in this world there is no deed that destroys a man’s longevity like union with another’s wife.”
