Śama-prāptiḥ — Gautamī–Lubdhaka–Pannaga–Mṛtyu–Kāla-saṃvāda

Restraint through the Analysis of Karma and Time

तस्मिंस्तथा ब्रुवाणे तु ब्राह्मणी गौतमी नृप । स्वकर्मप्रत्ययाँललोकान्‌ मत्वार्जुनकमब्रवीत्‌

tasmiṁs tathā bruvāṇe tu brāhmaṇī gautamī nṛpa | svakarma-pratyayān lokān matvārjunakam abravīt ||

O king, while he was speaking in that manner, the Brahmin woman Gautamī—reflecting that beings attain their respective worlds according to the certainty of their own deeds—addressed Arjunaka.
