Restraint through the Analysis of Karma and Time

tasmād ubhau kālavaśāv āvām nirdiṣṭakāriṇau | nāvām doṣeṇa gantavyau tvayā lubdhaka kadācit ||

Therefore, both of us are under the sway of Time, acting only as Time has ordained. You, O hunter, should never lay blame upon us; understand that we are not to be condemned as if this were our personal fault.

Educational Q&A

Do not rush to blame others for painful outcomes; recognize the role of kāla (Time/destiny) and cultivate restraint, forgiveness, and ethical clarity instead of accusation.

The hunter (lubdhaka) is being addressed in a consoling, instructive tone: the speaker explains that the parties involved are acting under the compulsion of Time’s ordinance, so the hunter should not impute personal दोष (fault) to them.
