अध्याय ९५: चित्राङ्गदस्य गन्धर्वेण सह संग्रामः तथा विचित्रवीर्यस्य राज्याभिषेकः
Chitrāṅgada’s duel with the Gandharva and Vicitravīrya’s consecration
अर्घ्यमशभ्याहरंस्तस्मै ते सर्वे भारतास्तदा । निवेद्य सर्वमृषये सत्कारेण सुवर्चसे,इसी समय उनके पास भगवान् महर्षि वसिष्ठ आये। उन्हें आया देख भरतवंशियोंने प्रयत्नपूर्वक उनकी अगवानी की और प्रणाम करके सबने उनके लिये अर्घ्य अर्पण किया। फिर उन तेजस्वी महर्षिको सत्कारपूर्वक अपना सर्वस्व समर्पण करके उत्तम आसनपर बिठाकर राजाने स्वयं उनका वरण करते हुए कहा--“भगवन्! हम पुनः राज्यके लिये प्रयत्न कर रहे हैं। आप हमारे पुरोहित हो जाइये'
arghyam abhyāharan tasmai te sarve bhāratās tadā | nivedya sarvam ṛṣaye satkāreṇa suvarcase ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Then all those scions of Bharata brought him the offering of honor (arghya). Having presented everything to the seer with due reverence, they received the radiant sage with formal hospitality—an act that upholds dharma by recognizing spiritual authority.
