Educational Q&A

The verse frames royal power as stewardship: a worthy ruler upholds the dynasty’s responsibility (vaṃśa-udvahana) and earns lasting fame through effective governance and the establishment of sovereignty.

Vaiśampāyana continues the genealogical account of the Pauravas, stating that Tansu, renowned for valor, sustained the dynasty’s burden, gained illustrious fame, and conquered the earth.
