आदि पर्व — अध्याय ८३: ययाति-इन्द्र-संवादः तथा अष्टक-प्रश्नः
Yayāti–Indra Dialogue and Aṣṭaka’s Inquiry
देवयान्युवाच कस्यैते दारका राजन देवपुत्रोपमा: शुभा: । वर्चसा रूपतश्वैव सदृशा मे मतास्तव,देवयानीने पूछा--राजन! ये देवबालकोंके तुल्य शुभ लक्षणसम्पन्न कुमार किसके हैं? तेज और रूपमें तो ये मुझे आपहीके समान जान पड़ते हैं
devayāny uvāca: kasyaité dārakā rājan devaputropamāḥ śubhāḥ | varcasā rūpataś caiva sadṛśā me matās tava ||
Devayānī said: “O King, whose are these boys, auspicious and like the sons of the gods? In their radiance and in their beauty, they seem to me to resemble you.”
