Duḥṣanta–Śakuntalā: Gandharva Marriage and Succession Condition

सर्वे वेदविदश्नैव राजच्छास्त्रे च पारगा: । सर्वे संग्रामविद्यासु विद्याभिजनशोभिन:,राजन! वे सब-के-सब वेददवेत्ता, शास्त्रोंके पारंगत विद्वान, संग्राम-विद्यामें प्रवीण तथा उत्तम विद्या और उत्तम कुलसे सुशोभित थे

sarve vedavidaś caiva rājaśāstre ca pāragāḥ | sarve saṅgrāmavidyāsu vidyābhijanaśobhināḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: All of them were knowers of the Vedas and fully accomplished in the science of kingship; all were skilled in the arts of warfare, and they shone through refined learning and noble lineage—qualities that made them worthy of respect in both counsel and battle.
