Transliteration

vāmād ajāyatāṅguṣṭhād ū bhāryā tasya mahātmanaḥ | tasyāṃ pañcāśataṃ kanyāḥ sa evājanayan muniḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “From the left thumb of that great-souled one, his wife came into manifestation. And in her, the sage himself begot fifty daughters.”
