Vaiśampāyana said: Born and increased in accordance with dharma, and endowed with very long life, those descendants flourished. Thereafter, O King, all four social orders became established again in the world, with the Brāhmaṇas holding the foremost place.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse frames social and dynastic restoration as legitimate only when aligned with dharma: progeny and political strength are praised when produced through righteous means, and the stability of society is depicted as the re-establishment of all four varṇas with ethical hierarchy and responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana describes how, after a disruption in the Kṣatriya line, Kṣatriya women bore children through ascetic Brāhmaṇas; these children were powerful and long-lived, leading to the renewed growth of the Kṣatriyas and the re-establishment of the four varṇas in the world, with Brāhmaṇas again occupying the foremost position.
